(ACADEMIC IMMERSION PROGRAM )

PURPOSE OF AIP PROGRAM

To help IBG students improve their English language skills, specifically speaking, reading, listening and writing comprehension, as well as help improve student academic performance in the subject areas of English, Theology and History. The program will also serve as a preparatory course for the getting quality results on the TOEFL Exam. Essentially, the Academic Immersion Program (AIP) will be an afterschool ESL course with class time also devoted towards difficult subject areas like History, English and Theology. The program will also help assist IBG students adjust to the American education system, culture, and way of life.

• Academic Consultants can design and implement afterschool ESL support for IBG student if this service is desired by the partner school. An Example of this is the IBG AIP (Academic Immersion Program) that has successfully been launched at St. Bernard School in Connecticut.
• Partner Schools can also consult with the Academic Department if they would like to seek advice on how to start an ESL program in the school. IBG Consultants can be a knowledge resource to schools on how to start ESL programs within the school.
